It has three bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single), a comfortable living room with wood-burning stove (wood provided), a spacious and well-appointed kitchen, a large bath/shower room and a second toilet. It has central heating throughout. There is a medium sized gargen with table, chairs and a barbecue. Balmeanoch is 5 miles from St Fillans (at the east end of the Loch) and 12 miles from Lochearnhead (at the west end of the loch). There is a good village shop in St Fillans and a wider range of shops in Comrie (10 miles) and Crieff (17 miles). There are good restaurants in St Fillans, and Comrie and a renowned one in Balquhidder. Local places of interest include Stirling Castle, Doune Castle, Glenturret Distillery (home of the Famous Grouse Experience), Rob Roy's Grave, Auchingarroch Wild Life Centre and many others. Loch Earn is renowned for its watersports, with sailing, water-ski-ing and wind surfing all available either at Lochearnhead (3m shop/hotel) or the pretty village of St Fillans (5m shop hotels) at the eastern end of the loch, where there is also a delightful golf course with excellent snacks and meals available in the club house.
