Ben Lui National Nature Reserve - Tyndrum

Park your car at Tyndrum Community Woodland (NN344292). There is a long walk in along Glen Cononish until you get to the reserve (NN266264). Boots, full waterproofs, map and compass are required and Ben Lui should only be tackled by those with experience of the uplands. Among the terrain of mountain grassland and alpine cliffs can be found rare alpine plants such as Alpine Bartsia, Mountain Avens and Mountain Willow. Birds you can see include Ring Ouzel, Wheatear and Snow Bunting (in the winter).
