To appreciate the magnificent Braes o' Balquhidder and to get a lovely view its worth the short walk to the top of the Manse Rock, or Creag an Tuirc (rock of the boar). The modern church of Balquhidder (built 1855) is the start of the walk. There are paths either side of Balquhidder church, which join together and lead up through the forest of the Kirkton Glen. Take the path to the left of the church, which leads up to a small waterfall.
