Killen Highland LodgesOur 11 holiday lodges are set on a peaceful wooded hillside which offers views to the hills on the south side of Loch Tay.

Close to the village of Killin , and just above Killin Golf Course, these Perthshire cottages offer a peaceful base in a very central location for exploring much of Scotland .

Substantially refurbished by new owners, the cottages offer a peaceful holiday location. All cottages have satellite TV with DVD players and CD/radios. There are may local places of interest. The grave of Rob Roy McGregor, Scotland 's most famous outlaw is within 15 miles at Balquidder kirkyard. The oldest living thing in Europe , a yew tree in the churchyard at Fortingall is of interest. Fortingall was at the outer reaches of the Roman Empireand is reputed to be the Birth place of Pontius Pilate.

Fishing on Loch Tay or the Rivers Lochay and Dochart provide great sport and we can arrange for local ghillie to take you to the best spots, or even give you fishing lessons. Just behind the cottages is a recently planted wood and the views, from the forest road, of the length of Loch Tay are excellent. Canoe and cycle hire can be found in the village ad one enterprising renter alos provides a lift to the top of the hill. It is easier downhill!!!

Dogs are welcome and enjoy the excellent walking at the head of the loch or on the hill behind while Ben Lawers and The Tarmachan Ridge provide some challenging walking and climbing opportunities for the enthusiast. Sustrans route 7, for the cyclists, runs nearby on the south side of the Loch .

The quiet location is very restful but the cottages are within 90 minutes drive of the shopping meccas Edinburgh and Glasgow. Oban and the West coast are within 75 minutes while a trip to Fort William , through the rugged majesty of Glencoe is truly memorable. A trip in the ski gondola at Anoch Mhor, just through Fort William provides spectacular views, which on a clear day are perhaps the best in Scotland

With Lodges varying in size from one to 4 bedrooms, there is a Lodge or a combination of Lodges to suit every party. Have a look at our website to see the variety of what is available at 3 and 4 star ratings.
