  • Lochearnhead Post OfficeLocation - Callander to Crainlarich road and the A85 to Crieff, which runs along the north of Loch Earn.

    Extensively refurbished in 2005 by owners Cathie and Richard Nicholson the Post Office offers a wide range of Post Office Services. Additionally local Fishing Permits, tackle and bait, a range of local books, maps, guides and information, information plus stationery and confectionery are available from the shop.

    Post Office Services available include:

  • Royal Mail and ParcelForce post and parcel services for internal and international surface and airmail.
  • Foreign Currency ordering (next day delivery if ordered before 1:00 pm). Moneygram Transfers.
  • Bill payments.
  • Postal Orders.
  • Banking services.
  • National Savings & Investments.
  • UK and International Phonecards and Mobile Phone Top-Ups (all major networks).
  • We also have a Free to use ATM situated within the Post Office itself.

    Fishing Permits
    Available throughout the season which runs from 15th March until 7th October

    Loch Awe Permits are issued on behalf of the Loch Awe Improvement Association, and apply to trout or coarse and pike fishing.

    The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park explanatory leaflet on fishing in The National Park is available at Lochearnhead Post Office. The leaflet contains information on Fishery Rules, The Scottish Outdoor Access Code, The Fishing Seasons and Permit Requirements, plus comprehensive Game fishing and Coarse fishing permit details for the lochs and rivers of The Breadalbane, The Trossachs, The Loch Lomond area and Argyll Forest.

    Equipment - We stock a good range of fishing tackle to suit all requirements for local fishing. We have rods, reels and a comprehensive range of general fishing tackle, from manufacturers including Shakespeare, Okuma, Maxima, VMC etc.

    Live Bait - We normally have live bait available, in the form of worms and maggots, as well as Power bait and trout pellets.

    Maps and Guides
    We carry a wide range of all the essential Ordnance Survey Landranger and Explorer maps plus walking and cycling route maps for Perthshire, Stirling, The Trossachs, Loch Tay and Glen Etive.

    Local and tourist information
    We act as a local information centre, and in addition to publications and books giving local and tourist information we also make available information from other local businesses and services. We provide details of local hotels and menus, as well as information on local accommodation.

    Gift Items : Our comprehensive stock includes Ling Design greetings cards, notelets, and gift wrap, as well as a comprehensive range of other greetings cards and gift bags, and associated materials plus coasters and bookmarks with our own, exclusive Lochearnhead logo and locally made hand crafted souvenirs.

    Stationery and Office Supplies : We sell a wide range of Post Office branded stationery items, along with general office supplies and general accessories.

    Books : We carry a wide range of books, specialising in those of local interest, many written by local authors including: "Loch Lomond and The Trossachs in History and Legend" by P J G Ransom.

    Lochearnhead Post Office confectionery range includes Wall's and Nestle ice creams, and a wide variety of soft drinks in bottles and cans.

    Useful sundries : Duracell batteries, Kodak film, spectacle repair kits, plus party goods, balloons, birthday banners, cake candles, party poppers, napkins are available.
