  • The Four Seasons Hotel LoungeThe natural beauty of this location is the first delight of every visitor to St Fillans, and the position of the Four Seasons, looking south-west down Loch Earn, is one of the most enviable settings in Scotland. The views from the hotel are ever-changing throughout the seasons: fresh new colours of spring, long, light summer's evenings, spectacular sunsets to the west, morning mists shrouding the loch and the snow covered Bens.

Originally built in the early 1800s for the manager of the limekilns, the main house then became the schoolmaster's house. Converted in the 1900s, it has been extended over the years to a comfortable hotel with a number of individual sitting rooms, twelve bedrooms, and six chalets.

All of our spacious rooms are ensuite, mostly with bath and shower. Some have romanric four poster beds; many enjoy uninterrupted views down Loch Earn. Rooms vary in size, and some can accommodate an extra bed. For those who prefer to be more secluded, there are six chalets on the wooded hillside behind the hotel; all have a bunkroom, making them ideal for family use.

    Time to relax...
Spend your days here enjoying the fine food, pleasant atmosphere and lovely scenery. Perhaps take a gentle stroll from the hotel, by the loch or in the woodlands around the village. Or use the Hotel as a base for touring: there are a wide variety of day trips that can be done from the hotel, situated as it is in the very heart of Scotland.

    So on to dine...
You can choose between the Meall Reamhar Restaurant, offering a degree of formality and style or the Tarken Room, which offers the same standard of cuisine in more informal surroundings. We serve contemporary Scottish cuisine: a range of imaginative dishes as well as the more traditional. The Chef uses only the best ingredients from Scotland's natural larder, which in many cases are supplied locally, to produce a truly memorable meal. To finish the day, select a single malt from our superb selection and enjoy the warmth of a log fire.

The Four Seasons Hotel JettyTo do
Touring We are well placed in central Scotland to offer a tremendous variety of day trips, to the west or east coast, the Highlands to the north and Scotland's main cities to the south.

    Outings
A few of the unique suggestions could include a visit to Deil's Cauldron and Earthquake House in Comrie, Loch Tay Crannog, the charming islands of Mull and Iona, a steam train trip to Mallaig, the oldest Yew tree in Europe at Fortingall, the Burrell Collection and Rennie Mackintosh House in Glasgow, Scotland's smallest distillery Edradour, and Rob Roy's Grave at Balquhidder, and much more.

Should you wish some light exercise….
Walking This part of Scotland has infinite variety, from woodland walks by rushing burns and waterfalls to the grand, wide open spaces seen from the top of a conquered Munro. Several shorter walks are possible from the hotel, and a good variety of hill walks. For the Munro Basher and Corbett Collector, there are over seventy within an hour.

    Golf
There are over twenty-five courses within an hour's drive, to suit all standards, with spectacular scenery. Choose from magnificent parkland, to steep hilly with character or even an island course (one of two in the world).

Fishing and shooting can be arranged locally.

In case the above are not tempting, how about….Sailing, canoeing, water-skiing (we have our own jetty and slipway), pony trekking, antique hunting, white-water rafting, off-road driving, quad biking, go-kart racing, mountain biking, cycling.

    Functions….
From the individual birthday party to a grand dinner, a dance or that most special event a wedding, we are happy to submit menus and ideas to ensure a memorable occasion.

    Meetings…
Ideally situated with easy access to central Scotland, we are able to cater for small individual conferences, and we have a choice of conference or delegate rooms. Supplement this with good food, service and a relaxing atmosphere and you have all that is required for a successful meeting.
