Scotland
NatureWalks, Trails and Wildlife Walkers and cyclists will appreciate the many footpaths, waymarked trails, cycle routes and forest trails within nature reserves, community woodlands, farms, plantations and native woodland. Local wildlife includes red squirrels and buzzards. There are excellent opportunities for watching wildlife in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park . For hill walkers and climbers Ben Lawers (1,214m) is the highest mountain in the Central Highlands. There are other Munros in the area. Ben Lawers is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is home to alpine plants as well as Ptarmigan, Red Deer, Mountain Hare and the Common Lizard.

Ben Lui National Nature Reserve - Tyndrum
Park your car at Tyndrum Community Woodland (NN344292). There is a long walk in along Glen Cononish until you get to the reserve (NN266264). Boots, full waterproofs, map and compass are required. Read More

Tyndrum Community Woodland
The woodland has footpaths, interpretation leaflets, picnic tables and car park (NN344292). There is newly planted native woodland (mainly Scot's Pine and Downy Birch), acid grassland, heath, mire and a small kettle-hole lochan. Read More

Queen Elizabeth Forest Park - Trossachs
