Scotland
Walks, Trails & Wildlife Walks, Trails and Wildlife Walkers and cyclists will appreciate the many footpaths, waymarked trails, cycle routes and forest trails within nature reserves, community woodlands, farms, plantations and native woodland. Local wildlife includes Golden Eagle, red and roe deer, red squirrel, pine marten, badgers, otters, osprey,red kite, black grouse, kestrel, kingfisher, peregrine, sparrow hawk, bats and more.
For hill walkers and climbers Munro's including Ben Vorlich, Stuc A Chroin, Ben Sheann, Ben Ledi, and Ben Lawers (1,214m) being the highest mountain in the Central Highlands. Ben Lawers is owned by the National Trust for Scotland and is home to alpine plants as well as Ptarmigan, Red Deer, Mountain Hare and the Common Lizard. Follow The Rob Roy Way, Glen Ogle Trail, Queen Elizabeth 11 Forest Park, GlenAmple. Walk along or around and sail or kayak on Loch Earn, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Voil, Loch Doine. There is also a wide range of walks in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park . The Loch Earn Tourism Initiative are proud to be members of Wild Scotland. Rob Roy Way
The Rob Roy Way is on the list of National Scottish Trails. The 7 day walk starts in Drymen and ends in Pitlochry. You will come to the stunningly picturesque and naturally beautiful villages of Strathyre, Balquhidder and Lochearnhead surrounded by mountains, lochs and forests. You will be made to feel very welcome in any of these villages; a lovely location with a wide choice of accommodation from campsites to luxury boutique hotels. Consider staying over night or to stop for refreshments on the way. For detailed route information visit Rob Roy Way the official website. Alternatively follow this advice for a short route around Strathyre. Leave the Strathyre Forrestry Commission car park by its entrance, turn left and follow the A84 road north through Strathyre. Ben Shian - Strathyre
Start at the car park on the south side of the village of Strathyre. Take the Forest Enterprise signed footpath over the bridge and up to the tarred road. 100m past the village school, turn left on to the hill footpath. Climb quite steeply through tall conifers for 300m to a forestry road. Read More

Kirkton Pass - Balquhidder
At Balquhidder Church follow route until you reach the public water supply enclosure. Go straight on, ignore all junctions to left or right. Soon the rocky face of Creag an Eireannaich (Rock of the Irishman) comes into view ahead. Read More

Ben Lawers - Central Scotland
Owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Car park (NN575333), nature trail, mountain footpaths, visitor centre (open in the summer months). Boots, full waterproofs, map and compass are required for the higher paths. Read More
