Scottish Aeromodellers "Splash In" (Radio Controlled Water Planes)
Venue: Watersports/Activities Centre and Café, Lochearnhead
Price: Free to spectate
Event: Run under the auspices of the Scottish Aeromodellers Association as a "Fly in". SAA members attend and fly a wide variety of radio controlled model water planes - large and small - over two days. Interested members of the public are welcome to come along and watch. In the interests of safety, the public is asked to remain in the "roped off" viewing area. Food and drink is available at the watersports and activity centre café run by Active Scotland, with the Lochearnhead Hotel and the Clachan Cottage hotel a village shop and Post Office with a cash machine nearby. This is not just boys and there toys. It takes great skill and practice to fly the various shapes and sizes of model planes that you will see. It is very impressive and a great day out for all ages.
